Common questions
Do you offer ongoing support contracts?
No. We work on a consultation basis: fixed-scope projects and booked expert sessions. If you need day-to-day support, we can document your environment and help you brief a support provider.
How does remote access work?
You grant access for the engagement only, using accounts with the minimum permissions needed and MFA enabled. Access is removed when the work is complete, and every change is documented.
Do you offer emergency or after-hours support?
No. Engagements are scheduled in advance, so for urgent outages please contact your support provider.
Can you work with businesses outside South Africa?
Yes. All work is remote, in English, French, Swahili or Portuguese.
How much does it cost?
Assessments start from about R2 500, most reviews are R5 500 to R12 000, and expert time is R3 950 for a 5-hour block. Use the service assessment for a range that fits your organisation.
How is pricing set, and what if I need to cancel?
Projects are fixed-price and you approve the quote before work starts. Cancellations and refunds follow our refund policy.
How do you handle our data?
We access only what the engagement requires, never copy client data to personal devices, and follow POPIA. See our privacy policy.

Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
LUAM GROUP (PTY) LTD (registration number 2026/754186/07), 1204 Karriboom Street, Pretoria, Gauteng, 0186, is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website and our consulting services. You can contact us and our Information Officer at bonjour@luam.co.za. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
2. What we collect
We collect only what we need:
- Enquiries: your name, work email, optional organisation name, preferred language and your message.
- Clients: contact details of the people we work with, billing details needed for invoices, and records of the work we perform.
- Client systems: during an engagement we may see personal information held in your systems (for example user accounts in Microsoft 365). We access it only as far as the agreed scope requires.
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking technologies, and the enquiry form does not store or transmit your details. It prepares an email that you send yourself. The online estimate tools and the site assistant also run entirely in your browser: your answers are not stored or sent anywhere unless you choose to email them to us. Please don't send us passwords, identity numbers or other sensitive information unless we ask for it through a secure method.
3. Why we use it
- To respond to enquiries and prepare proposals (with your consent, and to take steps at your request before a contract).
- To deliver, invoice and support the services you engage us for (to perform our contract with you).
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
- To keep our services and your systems secure (our legitimate interests).
We do not sell personal information, use it for profiling, or send marketing without your separate consent. We do not use client data to train AI models.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with operators that help us run the business, under confidentiality obligations: our email and document storage providers, our accounting and banking providers, and, where you instruct us, software vendors such as Microsoft for licensing or support cases. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
5. Cross-border transfers
Some of our service providers store data outside South Africa, and some clients are based outside South Africa. Where personal information is transferred across borders, we do so only as permitted by section 72 of POPIA, for example where the recipient is subject to comparable data protection laws or binding agreements, or where the transfer is necessary to perform our contract with you.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become engagements are deleted within 12 months. Client and financial records are kept for as long as required by law, generally five years under South African tax legislation, and then deleted or anonymised. Remote access to client systems is removed when an engagement ends.
7. Security
We use multi-factor authentication, least-privilege access, encrypted devices and reputable providers. We never copy client data to personal devices. If we become aware of a security compromise affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
8. Children
Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
9. Your rights
You may ask whether we hold your personal information and request access to it, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time. Use our data and deletion request page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
Terms of Service
1. About these terms
These terms apply to consulting services provided by LUAM GROUP (PTY) LTD, trading as LUAM Tech House ("we", "us"), to you, the client. Each engagement is described in a written proposal or booking confirmation. If a proposal conflicts with these terms, the proposal applies for that engagement.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and authorised to enter into agreements for yourself or the organisation you represent.
3. Nature of the services
We provide consulting on a consultation basis: fixed-scope projects and booked expert sessions, delivered remotely. Unless a proposal says otherwise, we do not provide ongoing managed services, monitoring, on-call cover or emergency response.
4. Proposals, fees and payment
- Each proposal sets out the scope, deliverables, timeline and price. Work starts once you accept the proposal in writing and any upfront payment it requires is received.
- Invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice. We may pause work on overdue accounts.
- Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately and only done with your written approval.
- Software licences and third-party subscriptions are billed by, or passed through from, their vendors under the vendors' own terms.
5. Your responsibilities
- Provide timely access, information and decisions needed for the work.
- Grant remote access through accounts with appropriate permissions and multi-factor authentication, and remove that access when the engagement ends if we have not already done so.
- Maintain current backups of your systems and data before changes are made.
- Ensure you are entitled to give us access to the systems and data involved.
6. Remote access and security
We access your systems only for the agreed scope, during agreed periods, and document the changes we make. We follow the security practices described in our privacy policy.
7. Confidentiality
We keep your business information confidential and use it only to deliver the services. This obligation continues after the engagement ends.
8. Intellectual property
Once paid in full, you own the reports, documentation and deliverables created specifically for you. We keep ownership of our pre-existing tools, templates, methods and know-how, and grant you a licence to use any of them that are included in your deliverables for your internal business purposes.
9. AI-related services
AI tools can produce inaccurate or incomplete output. We design and test AI solutions with care, but you remain responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it and for how AI tools are used in your organisation. We do not enter your confidential data into public AI services without your approval.
10. Case studies
For founding clients, case studies are published only in anonymised form unless you give written permission to be named. We never publish confidential details.
11. Liability
We perform the services with reasonable skill and care. To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees you paid for that engagement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of data where current backups were not maintained. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.
12. Cancellation and refunds
Cancellations and refunds are handled under our refund policy.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes will first be discussed in good faith and, if unresolved, may be referred to a competent court in Gauteng.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. Changes do not affect engagements already accepted.
Refund Policy
Intro calls
Intro calls are not charged, so no refund applies.
Expert sessions
- Cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before the session: full refund or credit, your choice.
- Less than 48 hours' notice: the session is charged, but you may reschedule it once at no extra cost.
- If we cancel or cannot deliver a session, you receive a full refund or a rescheduled session.
Fixed-scope projects
- Cancel before work starts: full refund of amounts paid.
- Cancel after work starts: you pay for work completed, as set out in the proposal's milestones or on a pro-rata basis, and we refund the balance. You receive everything completed up to that point.
If something isn't right
If a deliverable does not match the agreed scope, tell us within 14 days of handover. We will correct it at no cost. If we cannot, we will refund the fees for the affected part of the work.
Third-party products
Software licences and subscriptions purchased for you follow the vendor's own refund and cancellation terms.
How refunds are paid
Request a refund by emailing bonjour@luam.co.za. Approved refunds are paid to the original payment account within 14 business days.
Your statutory rights
This policy does not limit any rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, where they apply.
